God’s word about a distant land.

when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises

be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him an a
figurative sense.
What about Abraham’s sacrifice? Abraham’s faith reasoned that
God would raise Isaac up from the dead!

riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
