Mo. 9/29/14: Isaiah 53:7 –
8 Why did the Lamb
die?
He
was oppressed and He was afflicted …
He
was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And
as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So
He opened not His mouth.
For
He was cut off from the land of the living;
For
the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
Why did the Lamb die? The Lamb died for the sins
of God’s people.
Tu. 9/30/14: Isaiah 53:9 –
10 Who will prolong
His days?
And
… His grave with the wicked—But with the rich at His death,
Because
He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
When
You make His soul an offering for sin,
He
shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And
the pleasure of the Lord shall
prosper in His hand.
Who will prolong His days? God will raise the
Lamb from the dead and so prolong His days.
We. 10/1/14: Isaiah 53:11 –
12 Who will justify?
He
shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By
His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For
He shall bear their iniquities …
Because
He poured out His soul unto death,
And
He was numbered with the transgressors …
And
made intercession for the transgressors.
Who will justify? God’s righteous Servant will
justify many by bearing away their sins.
Th. 10/2/14: Isaiah 55:1 –
2a Who will buy
without money?
“Ho!
Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters;
And
you who have no money, Come, buy and eat.
Why
do you spend money for what is not bread,
And
your wages for what does not satisfy?
Who will buy without money? Those who come
believing shall buy without money.
Fr. 10/3/14: Isaiah 55:7 –
9 Who will be
pardoned?
Let
the wicked forsake his way,
And
the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let
him return to the Lord, And
He will have mercy on him;
And
to our God, For
He will abundantly pardon.
“For
My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor
are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
Who will be pardoned? Those who repent of their
ways and return to the Lord will be pardoned.
