Mo. 7/14/14: Ecclesiastes
12:13 – 14 What was Solomon’s
conclusion?
Let
us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear
God and keep His commandments,
For
this is man’s all.
For
God will bring every work into judgment,
Including
every secret thing,
What was Solomon’s
conclusion? Fear God and keep His commandments.
Tu. 7/15/14: 1 Kings 11:41
– 43 Solomon’s death
Now
the rest of the acts of Solomon, all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not
written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
And
the period that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
Then Solomon rested with his fathers, and was buried in the City of David his
father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
Who followed
Solomon? Rehoboam became king.
We. 7/16/14: 2 Chronicles
10:1 – 19 What did the
tribes do?
Now
when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered
the king, saying:
“What
share have we in David?
We
have no inheritance in the son of Jesse.
Every
man to your tents, O Israel!
Now
see to your own house, O David!”
So
all Israel departed to their tents.
But
Rehoboam reigned over the children of Israel who dwelt in the cities of Judah.
What did the
tribes do? The tribes revolted.
Th. 7/17/14: 1 Kings 12:20 What did Israel
do?
Now
it came to pass when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had come back, they sent
for him and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel.
There was none who followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only.
What did Israel
do? The tribes made Jeroboam their king.
Fr. 7/18/14: 1 Timothy 6:15
– 16 Who is the King of
kings?
which
He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality,
dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be
honor and everlasting power. Amen.
Who is the King of
kings? The Lord Jesus Christ is King of kings.
