The Apostle Peter's Gospel

Mon. 5/7/12: 1 Peter 1:3-5             (NKJV)            What is the new birth?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
What is the new birth? A living hope of a heavenly inheritance reserved for you through faith.

Tue. 5/8/12: 1 Peter 1:8-9             (NKJV)            What is the result of your belief?

whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
What is the result of your belief? You attain the salvation of your soul.

Wed. 5/9/12: 1 Peter 1:17-19             (NKJV)            What was your ransom?

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
What was your ransom? Not silver or gold, but the precious blood of Christ.

Thu. 5/10/12: 1 Peter 2:9             (NKJV)            Who are we now?

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
Who are we now? We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.

Fri. 5/11/12: 1 Peter 2:24-25             (NKJV)            What did Christ do?

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
What did Christ do and what was the result? He took our sins on His body on the cross to make us free from sin.
