Noah

Mo. 8/27/12: Genesis 7:22 – 23                    What was destroyed in the flood?
All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.
What was destroyed in the flood? All that had breath.
Tu. 8/28/12: Matthew 24:36 –39                    What shall the end-time be like?
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
What shall the end-time be like? It will come suddenly.
We. 8/29/12: Hebrews 11:7                    What did Noah become?
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
What did Noah become? The heir of righteousness by faith, not works.
Th. 8/30/12: 1 Peter 3:20 – 21                    What is the precursor of baptism?
who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
What is the precursor of baptism? The saving through the flood is baptisms precursor or antitype.
Fr. 8/31/12: 2 Peter 2:5, 9                    What will God do?
(God) did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment
What will God do? God will deliver the righteous and judge the unjust.
