Who wants to be simple?

Mo. 6/16/14: Proverbs 14:12 – 15                  What confuses the simple?
      There is a way that seems right to a man,
      But its end is the way of death.
      The simple believes every word,
      But the prudent considers well his steps.
What confuses the simple? Believing anyone confuses the simple.

What should we be simple towards? We should be simple about evil.

Knowledge in Proverbs

Mo. 6/2/14: Proverbs 2:3 - 5                  What is discernment?
      Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
      And lift up your voice for understanding,
      If you seek her as silver,
      And search for her as for hidden treasures;
      Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
      And find the knowledge of God.
What is discernment? Discernment is seeking knowledge.
Tu. 6/3/14: Proverbs 2:11 - 12                  What is understanding?
      Discretion will preserve you;
      Understanding will keep you,
      To deliver you from the way of evil,
      From the man who speaks perverse things,
What is understanding? Understanding is what keeps you safe.
We. 6/4/14: Proverbs 3:5 - 6                  What is trusting?
      Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
      And lean not on your own understanding;
      In all your ways acknowledge Him,
      And He shall direct your paths.
What is trusting? Putting your trust in the Lord is best.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
What is excellence of knowledge? The knowledge of Christ is excellence.

The half has not been told

Mo. 5/19/14: 1 Kings 10:1 – 2                  Why did the Queen come?
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions. She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.
Why did the Queen come? The Queen of Sheba came to test Solomon about the Name, “I Am That I Am!”
Tu. 5/20/14: 1 Kings 10:3                  What did the Queen learn?
So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for the king that he could not explain it to her.
What did the Queen learn? The Queen understood that Solomon’s wisdom was from above.
We. 5/21/14: 1 Kings 10:6 – 7                  What was the Queen’s remark?
And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, … and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her. Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom … and indeed the half was not told me.”
What was the Queen’s remark? The Queen remarked that even half had not been told her.

But as it is written:
      “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
      Nor have entered into the heart of man
      The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
What has God prepared? God has prepared a heaven beyond our sight, sound and understanding.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
What will the Lord do? The Lord will return and we will be caught up (Raptured, Latin) into clouds!

Solomon's bride; Christ's Bride

Mo. 5/12/14: Song of Songs 2:4                  What is love’s beginning?
The Shulamite to the Daughters of Jerusalem
      He brought me to the banqueting house,
      And his banner over me was love.
What is love’s beginning? The beginning is an invitation ; whether from Solomon to the Shulamite or Christ to the unbeliever.
Tu. 5/13/14: Song of Songs 2:10                  What is love’s  invitation?
      My beloved spoke, and said to me:
      “Rise up, my love, my fair one,
      And come away.
What is love’s invitation? The invitation is to come away with Him.
We. 5/14/14: Song of Songs 6:1 – 3                  What is love’s promise?
      I am my beloved’s,
      And my beloved is mine.
      He feeds his flock among the lilies.
What is love’s promise? The promise is ‘I am yours: you are Mine.’

Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
What is love’s consummation? The consummation is the marriage of the Lamb.

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
What is love’s betrothal? The betrothal is accepting the engagement ring offered by Christ. This is your day of salvation; the ring, the seal of the Spirit.

Love Song

Mo. 5/5/14: 2 Chronicles 7:1 – 2                   What happened?
When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.
What happened? The Glory of the Lord filled the Temple that Solomon built.

Tu. 5/6/14: 2 Chronicles 8:1 – 2                  What also was built?
It came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the house of the Lord and his own house, that the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them; and he settled the children of Israel there.
What also was built? Solomon built his own house in Jerusalem.

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

What will God build? God will build New Jerusalem as a bride.
